About the TOEIC Exam
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is an internationally recognised examination that assesses English language proficiency in a professional context. It is primarily used to evaluate the ability to communicate effectively in the workplace.
The exam consists of two main components: Listening & Reading and Speaking & Writing. The most commonly taken version is Listening & Reading, with scores ranging from 10 to 990 points.
The Foreign Language Centre at UJD is an ETS Global Authorised Test Centre. Listening & Reading examination sessions are organised twice a year and are open to all interested candidates.
TOEIC results are widely used by employers and universities to assess candidates’ language proficiency, particularly in international companies.
Preparation Materials
We encourage you to complete TOEIC sample tests. Please find useful resources below:
1. A full sample test in the original format – unfortunately without audio recordings. The complete Reading section can be completed. For the Listening section, a tapescript is provided, and correct answers for both sections are included at the end in a table.
2. TOEIC Listening & Reading practice tests (with a large number of examples, more than in the official test). Immediate feedback is provided after each question. The material is divided into sections, allowing you to practise selected parts depending on your needs.
3. Several full TOEIC practice tests available on the BestMyTest website (registration required).
4. Sample Business English vocabulary (optional) – a file containing a list of words with example sentences.
